Vinny & Ted Horse Racing Syndicate – FAQ

Only 30 spaces available in the syndicate and 10 have gone already.

What is the V&T Racing Syndicate? – A group set up to get people involved in horse racing without breaking the bank.

How does it work? – We will put together a group of 30 people to buy a horse, paying an amount up-front to purchase the horse and a monthly cost to cover training fees, race entries and minor vet bills.

Do we have a horse? – Yes, Classic Speed, a 5-year-old flat horse that has already won twice at Kempton. https://www.racingpost.com/profile/horse/4445411/classic-speed/form

Who trains him? – Brian Toomey, who trains on Bowstridge Lane in Chalfont St Giles. https://www.toomeyracing.co.uk/

How much will it cost? Each 1/30 share will cost £365 as a one-off cost to cover the purchase price of the horse and setting up of the syndicate and £65 per month to cover the on-going training costs. Costs will be transparent with any surplus returned to owners.

Will I own a share of the horse? – Yes, we are a “syndicate” as opposed to a “racing club”, you will own 3.33% of the horse for each share and therefore have 3.33% of any prize money won.

How long am I signed up for? – We would expect all owners to sign up for a 12 month period.

What’s the plan with Classic Speed? – He’s returning to Brian Toomey after a little break to re-fresh him and we will target as many local courses as possible Windsor, Kempton Sandown, Newbury etc. Having already won two races at Kempton we will return to the all-weather track there, but we are also very excited about how he will perform on turf too.

Will we get Owners badges when the horse runs? – Absolutely, these are sometimes limited in number but I have a good record in getting extra’s and courses are very good at catering for larger syndicates now. Every owner will be guaranteed tickets to the races.

Sounds great, how do I get involved? – Contact Matt on 07843 949692 or email matt@vinnyandted.co.uk to sign up or to ask any more questions.
